CPAImpact: Leadership Academy 2026-2027

Kick off your CPAImpact experience with this dynamic two-day, in-person leadership immersion workshop designed to elevate your impact from day one. This interactive workshop will help you uncover your unique leadership style while strengthening essential skills like critical thinking, change managment, emotional intelligence, communication, and effective delegation, feedback and accountability.

More than just a learning session, this experience is built for real-world application. Through hands-on activities, guided discussions and peer collaboration, you'll gain practical strategies to immediately bring back to your organization. Build meaningful connections with fellow professionals, creating a network of support that extends well beyond the workshop.

Included in this experience: 16 hours of nontechnical CPE credit, a professional headshot, meals and refreshments both days.

As part of your CPAImpact experience, Iowa CPA Day at the Capitol offers a powerful opportunity to put leadership into action through advocacy. This event offers an inside look at the legislative process while building connections with Iowa lawmakers and gaining confidence in sharing your perspective. Whether you’re new to advocacy or experienced, you’ll be supported every step of the way as you strengthen your voice, expand your impact and see firsthand how engagement in advocacy drives change.

As part of CPAImpact, you'll have the opportunity to give back to the profession by serving as a judge for the High School Accounting Showcase, an experience that blends leadership and mentorship.

This event engages directly with high school students as they tackle a hands-on case focused on a financial/accounting scenario. By evaluating presentations, offering feedback and sharing your perspective, you’ll help guide students as they explore accounting careers and develop critical thinking, teamwork and communication skills. By connecting with the next generation of business leaders, you’ll play an active role in building awareness, sparking interest in accounting and strengthening the pipeline of future CPAs.
