Career Awareness Accounting Opportunities Experience Subcommittee
The subcommittee chair for the High School Accounting Opportunities Experience (AOE) subcommittee acts as the main connection between the subcommittee and the larger ISCPA Career Awareness Committee. They ensure that updates, plans, and needs from the subcommittee are communicated clearly to the main committee and vice versa. The liaison guides the subcommittee in organizing November’s Accounting Opportunities Experience (AOE) presentations, helping ensure we have volunteers, and developing effective messaging for high school students. They help secure resources and support to make these events and presentations successful. Overall, the subcommittee goal is to inspire high school students to explore accounting careers.

The subcommittee chair for the Community Colleges subcommittee serves as the primary connection between the subcommittee and the larger ISCPA Career Awareness Committee. They ensure clear communication by sharing updates, progress, and needs of Iowa’s community colleges. The chair helps the subcommittee stay aligned with the organization’s overall goals and provides guidance on planning events, outreach, and student support initiatives. They also help secure resources, such as materials for career fairs, mentorship opportunities, and educational pathways for community college students pursuing accounting.
