General Session

1:00pm - 2:00pm CDT Focus on the 5th Question

Why do 85% of leaders believe business events are essential to their company’s success? One word: Networking. Sure, we exchange business cards and engage in small talk, but let's be real - does that really build the lasting relationships that drive business success? Not really! What if there's a way to break free from the small talk rut and fast-track your way to meaningful connections? What if there's a way to make yourself and your team stand out from the crowd? What if we have the 5th Question?

In this engaging and entertaining session, Gina Glover will unravel the mystery of the 5th Question and how to wield it like a pro. Say goodbye to dull networking exchanges and hello to connections that truly matter, both personally and professionally. Drawing from her extensive experience as a career coach, Gina will guide attendees through everything, from pre-event prep to post-event follow-up tactics. Get ready to learn the essential elements of crafting effective 5th questions, conquer those inevitable awkward moments, and leave with strategies to make the most of every new connection you make.

Leader Bios

Gina Glover

While her parents think she’s famous because she has a YouTube channel, she’s not. She’s never climbed Mt. Everest carrying a goat while using paperclips as carabiners. She doesn’t run a 4-minute mile in stilettos. Gina is simply an engaging storyteller, who adds humor to real-life stories that real-life people can relate to and appreciate. She provides a happy balance of useful content and entertainment around topics related to networking, teamwork and career change. People will tell you that one of her greatest gifts is her ability to foster connections with others and between others - even when there’s absolutely nothing in it for her but the sheer joy of connecting people. Gina is also a career coach and provides guidance for those looking for more fulfillment in their careers. She’s a graduate of Ferris State University (Go Bulldogs!), working on her first book, Navigating SHIFT Creek, and in process of running a race in every state in the U.S. It’s probably obvious that Gina is a Type-A personality but just in case that’s not evident yet, she also volunteers with organizations including the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Speakers Association, her local Toastmasters district, and the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.
