Iowa Workforce Development’s Finance Division is looking for a new member to join its team! As an Finance Bureau Chief, you’ll be working and managing a team of finance professionals to provide oversight of Federal reporting, payroll accounting and analysis, financial analysis, and unemployment insurance accounting and financial reporting  The position offers the possibility of hybrid for successful candidates. Recruitment bonus is also available.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Management of Finance Bureau staff, including but not limited to assignment of duties, payroll duties, position description changes and development/maintain benchmarks.
• Accounting Operations for Unemployment Insurance by providing oversight and monitoring to ensure deadlines are met. Representing Iowa Workforce Development for various meetings. Ensuring that State of Iowa accounting standards are being followed.
• Partners with the Chief Financial Officer to prepare financial analysis and budgeting functions.
• Collaborates with CFO and Accounting Bureau Chief on IWDs Indirect Cost Allocation and Budgeting.
