Membership Categories

ISCPA has several membership levels available to you. Membership runs from May. 1 to Apr. 30 and must be renewed annually for you to remain a member. For individuals applying for membership please see the membership application and pro-rata dues schedule.

 

Resident and Non-Resident Members: Individuals holding a valid (active, inactive or lapsed) CPA certificate issued by the Iowa Accountancy Examining Board or a similar board of any state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia.

Class 1Any CPA employed in Iowa and holding original CPA certificate more than 10 years$280
Class 2Any CPA employed in Iowa and holding original CPA certificate 6-10 years$260
Class 3Any CPA employed in Iowa and holding original CPA certificate 5 years or less$230
Class 4Non-Resident CPA (employed outside Iowa)$185
Class 5Any CPA not currently employed, a full-time student, or retired (a member who is not employed full-time (defined as more than 20 hours per week). Includes individuals not currently in the workforce due to full time pursuit of additional education or individuals who have permanently retired from the workforce.)$95
Class 6Life Member (individual member for 40 consecutive years as of Aug. 31, 2021)$0

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS (INDIVIDUALS WHO DO NOT HAVE A CPA CERTIFICATE)

Class 7Non-CPA owner of a CPA firm; or a Non-CPA accounting educator (full-time, college)$270
Class 7Non-CPA holder of a credential issued by the AICPA including, but not limited to, a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) or an Accredited Business Valuation (ABV) professional$270

AFFILIATES (INDIVIDUALS WHO DO NOT HAVE A CPA CERTIFICATE)

Class 8Professional and Exam-qualified - see definitions below$130

 

Professional

  • A non-CPA affiliated with the accounting profession

Exam-qualified

A non-CPA who meets one of the following requirements:

  • Eligible to sit for the uniform CPA exam or other AICPA credentialing examination.
  • Successfully completed the exam, but not yet received a CPA certificate
