Neitzel receives Rising Star Award recognition

The Iowa Society of CPAs is proud to recognize Devin Neitzel, CPA, CFP, as a recipient of the 2026 Rising Star Award.
The award recognizes ISCPA members age 40 and younger who demonstrate strong leadership through involvement in ISCPA, civic or charitable organizations, or other professional organizations.
Devin is a tax senior associate with Eide Bailly in Des Moines. He earned his Master of Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa in 2023 and began his career with Eide Bailly as a tax associate. Since then, he has advanced to his current role, completed the CPA Exam and earned the Certified Financial Planner credential.
He is also actively involved with Eide Bailly’s Wealth Transition Services group, where he continues to expand his expertise while helping clients navigate important financial decisions related to estate planning.
Devin’s commitment to the profession extends well beyond his day-to-day work. He first joined ISCPA as a student affiliate before becoming a licensed CPA member in 2024. He currently serves on ISCPA’s Legislation and Taxation committees as well as the Academic & Career Development Community.
Through those roles, he helps support the profession from several angles, from introducing future accountants to career opportunities to staying engaged with legislative and tax issues affecting CPAs and the clients they serve.
Devin is also involved with the Iowa Taxpayers Association and gives back to the University of Northern Iowa through accounting recruiting efforts, helping connect students with opportunities in the profession.
His commitment to service extends into the broader community. Devin volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and DMARC and participates in United Way’s LINC program, which connects young professionals with opportunities to make a difference in their communities.
What stands out about Devin is not only what he has accomplished early in his career, but also his willingness to get involved, contribute and lead along the way.
Through his enthusiasm for the profession, commitment to service and growing leadership, Devin represents the qualities the Rising Star Award is intended to recognize. ISCPA is proud to honor him as a 2026 Rising Star Award recipient.
