Overview

The role of finance leaders within an organization has changed considerably in more recent years. CFOs and controllers are constantly being asked to take on new tasks that involve the critical functions of the organization. This course will discuss how finance leaders can create value within their organizations in the current competitive market, how the perception of value in the area of finance has changed, the role of the finance function in cybersecurity, and how finance leaders can help create a data-driven organization.

• Configure protection to allow full access to model designers but restrict access to only inputs for others who are only updating for actual results.

Prerequisites

Although not required, it is recommended to take the sections of this eight-part series in order.

Objectives

• Learn how to lock individual cells and protect them with passwords to maintain the model's integrity.
• Design protection at multiple levels allowing full access to model designers and restricting access to inputs for other users.
• Review best-in-class approaches to printing and presenting FP&A model results to share with important stakeholders.

Preparation

Attendees should have a basic understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting.
