Vaudt receives Iowa CPA Distinguished Service Award

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (May 7, 2021) — David Vaudt was recognized with the Iowa Society of CPAs (ISCPA) Distinguished Service Award during the 2021 Annual Meeting on May 7. This award recognizes an Iowa CPA who has provided exceptional dedication and service to ISCPA and made outstanding contributions to the accounting profession.

David’s outstanding commitment to the Society includes serving on the Governmental Relations Committee and Practice Review Committee. He’s been a leader in the industry for many years, named to Accounting Today’s annual list of the “100 Most Influential People in Accounting” eight times, served 10 years as Iowa’s elected state auditor, 10 years on the board of directors of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), and as chairman of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). He is now beginning an appointed term with the AICPA Board of Examiners.
