Iowa Workforce Development’s Finance Division is looking for a new member to join its team! As an Accounting Bureau Chief, you’ll be working and managing a team of accounting professionals to provide oversight of general accounting for assets, liabilities, revenues, expenses and purchasing processes for the agency.  The position offers the possibility of hybrid for successful candidates. Recruitment bonus is also available. Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Management of Accounting Bureau staff, including but not limited to assignment of duties, payroll duties, position description changes and development/maintain benchmarks.
• General Accounting Operations by providing oversight and monitoring to ensure deadlines are met. Representing Iowa Workforce Development for various meetings. Ensuring that State of Iowa accounting standards are being followed.
• Collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Bureau Chief to maintain Cost allocations, Cash Management, and creation of GAAP annual package.
• Oversees Partner billing and invoicing along with acting as the Accounting System Administrator within IWD.
