Cynthia S. Adams

Show Bio

Cindy Adams is CEO of the Iowa Society of CPAs (ISCPA), the largest professional organization dedicated to CPAs, accounting professionals and accounting students in Iowa. The organization’s mission is to advance the professional success of its members while protecting, enhancing, guiding and promoting the accounting profession on behalf of members working in public accounting, business, industry, government, nonprofit and education. In her role as CEO, Cindy oversees the organization’s budget, strategies, objectives and mission to its members.

Prior to joining ISCPA in 2012, Cindy was with Holmes Murphy in West Des Moines, serving in roles from accounting manager and controller to vice president of information technology. Cindy is on the board of directors of the CPA Society Executives Association, and serves on the accounting advisory board of Drake University. She also just completed her three-year term as the state executive representative to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) National Accreditation Commission (NAC). Cindy received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Drake University, and is a certified public accountant (CPA), certified global management accountant (CGMA) and chartered property casualty underwriter (CPCU).

John Graci

John Graci is a leadership speaker, author and trainer with more than 20 years of management experience in production, office, union and non-union environments. Quentin Hart

Now serving his third term, Quentin Hart is the first African American to serve as Mayor of Waterloo, Iowa. Hart took the office in January 2016. He served three terms as Ward 4 Councilman from 2008 through 2015 including an appointment as first African American Mayor Pro-Tem for the City of Waterloo. Previously, Mayor Hart provided leadership for multicultural initiatives and promoting awareness and appreciation for diversity on campus and in the community as Associate Director of Multicultural Affairs for Hawkeye Community College. He received his MAE in Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs from the University of Northern Iowa and has a BA in Sociology from Minnesota State and a Liberal Arts Degree from Iowa Central Community College. Hart serves with the US Conference of Mayors, National League of Cities, Accelerator for America Advisory Board, National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE), and President of the Iowa League of Cities. He servers numerous regional and state organizations and appointments.
