9:00am - 9:20am (Central Time)
9:20am - 10:50am (Central Time)

What if…
…we choose to embrace who we are instead of beating ourselves up for who we are not?
…through creativity, we can overcome “weaknesses” by focusing on our greatest strengths?
From our early years in school, we are trained to focus on fixing our weaknesses to become great. This idea often follows us into our adult lives and our careers. This session will challenge this! Discover how you can be far more intentional and strategic in how you approach performance improvement by becoming intimately acquainted with your innate strengths.

Note: This session will utilize the CliftonStrengths assessment tool (the assessment is included with your registration).

Growing up, you've been told some version of, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Then you become immersed in the working world managing teams and clients, and the very thing you've been taught not to do is now suddenly a part of your job. While having difficult conversations in the workplace can be a delicate process, there's no doubting its value in identifying issues and helping to solve them. This session will guide you on how to manage difficult conversations in a positive way to improve and grow business relationships.

Key takeaways:

  • The purpose of feedback - why we need it and how it affects relationships.
  • Radical Candor model - navigating obnoxious aggression, ruinous empathy and manipulative insincerity.
  • Creating a culture of feedback - get, give, gauge and encourage.
