This course has already taken place.

Designed For: CPAs and other business professionals.

Prerequisite:

Objective: In their Integrity Survey (2004-05), KPMG found that 74% of U.S. employees reported that they had observed misconduct in the past 12-month period with one-half reporting that what they observed would result in significant loss of public trust if discovered. This is virtually the same percentage as in their pre-Sarbanes-Oxley survey in 2000 (76%). While efforts to define ethical standards have created conditions that help management detect and prevent fraud, U.S. corporations continue to suffer from severe ethical lapses. This session will explore how one's integrity is the defining factor in determining ethical action.

Course Highlights:

  • The relationship between ethics, integrity, and accountability.
  • The contemporary issues of corporate fraud and misconduct in the post Sarbanes-Oxley era.
  • Refine core personal and professional values.
  • Examine how organizational culture influences and challenges one's ability to make ethical decisions.
  • Improve your ability to work and lead with integrity.
  • Learn and utilize a process that enables you to make sound ethical choices.
  • Develop an action plan to enable participants to do the right thing.
